The package comes in a black and hard paper box. The package consists of Tozo Gloden X1 wireless earbuds, 6 different sizes of ear tips (including the default tip size pre-installed earbuds), a short USB-C charging cable, a user manual, and a quick start guide. The packaging is not suitable for the price (around $150), it is just a hard paper box. But it’s not really important, that’s decent enough.
Tozo Gloden X1 Review – The Design
After opening the box at first glance and impressed, the charging case is very light. The case’s body is not metal, but I think it is light plastic and looks premium. The case shape is like an oval-shaped pill jar, matte black. So it is easy to leave a fingerprint. But it’s also easy to wipe off. There is a USB-C charging port on the back. Inside the case has white LED digital power indicators for itself case and also has white LED light bars battery display for both earbuds. Looks nice and attractive at all. While plug-in for charging the case, the white LED light at the front will be flashing. After charging is finished, it will go out.
The earbuds are so light as well. The Tozo Gloden X1 comes with touch control on the exterior surface of both left and right buds. The touch area is quite sensitive and if you are not yet used to it, might make a mistake in use. However; in just a while, I will used to it and can control the earbuds easily.
Comfortable Fit
With the earbuds are very lightweight so I don’t feel annoyed or fatigued in my ears. As I said earlier, the packaging provides 5 different sizes of ear tips and another default attached to the earbuds. if you choose the size of the right tips, the earbuds will stay in place in your ears and not even a bit twist. My ears fit the default size. I tested it by joking in the morning, very good in terms of the secure and snug fit. The earbuds will not easily fall out. The Tozo Gloden X1 can use each earbud independently.
How about Bluetooth connectivity?
Bluetooth connectivity is reliable within 10 meters. In this range, even if there are double wall obstacles between your source device and the Tozo Gloden X1 wireless earbuds sitting in your ears, the signal is still clear and stable. However; I tested it by walking further than 10 meters (just an estimate), and the Bluetooth signal started to stumble and disappear intermittently. Also, if there is more than a double wall blocking them, the signal will disappear intermittently too. In terms of Bluetooth connectivity, the signal range is quite a bit less. I hope that Tozo will improve this in the next generation or next update firmware.
Great Battery Life & Dual Power Display Charging Case
These hi-res wireless earbuds from Tozo arrange playtime for around 8 hours single charge on earbuds and a maximum of up to 32 hours when including the charging case. 32 hours which is equal to Anker Liberty 3 Pro wireless earbuds and also is Tozo’s claim referring to the product’s specs. For actual usage, I listen to music at 50% of the volume for 1 hour (approx) without ANC. When I place it back in the charging box and wait for a full charge (earbuds) again. I found that it only consumes 3% of the battery. That means the overall playtime of the Gloden X1 is nearly 32 hours as the company claims. When I didn’t use it for about 2 weeks, the battery level hardly dropped. It is unlike other wireless earbuds where the battery level will keep decreasing noticeably, when not in use for a long time.
